denim blues

I thought today was Friday and so I wore jeans to work.
How disappointed was I when I discovered that, no, it is only Thursday.
Now I'm under dressed and have one more day to go.
Oh bother.

it's ELECTRIFYING!

I again have neglected finishing up a playlist I've been half assedly working on for weeks. I figure I may as well post the unfinished product because I feel this is as good as it's going to get before I get sick of it and decide to start anew (which I promise will not be a month from now).

I don't really have much to say about this list. It's sort of loosely electro themed. Some of it's old. Most of it's newer. Some of it you more'n' likely will not have had the pleasure of hearing. It's all good.

Tell your friends.

Because,

sum summa

The Last few weeks of my life have looked somewhat like this (in no particular order):

Visit with Johanna and Anr at the latter's beach house, visit from Kate, a night spent at the PNE with Lee, a weekend visit with Ilia, a block party, thought about quitting my job, thought about finding a way to get fired from my job, broke my computer, got a new computer, visited my 97 year old grandfather in the hospital, been a good friend, gone to Calgary to visit Kate, gone on a couple of bad dates, gone on a couple of good dates, registered for school, saw my brother for the first time all summer, cried for no reason, lounged in the sun, got drunk, took 500 photos in one day, and, for once, spent a weekend in Vancouver.

All in all it has been a jam packed end to the summer and now, as the leaves are turning, all I feel like doing is curling up with a book or movie and not being seen. I won't though.
At least not every day.

I apologize for the lacklusterness (is that a word?) of my blog as of late. I promise it won't stay that way if you stick around. I wouldn't do that.

And now, off to my first class, "Writing for Children".

Tomorrow is "Short Fiction". My instructors name is Fabrizio Napoleone. And that is why I'm taking the course.

I've been rather lazy in the blogging department the past couple of weeks. I feel though, that I am back.

Soldier on!

almost famous

Last weekend we went out, and then I wound up on Lindsay's diet on the 'cover' for the September 6th edition of the album glory days.

bridging the gap

I just received an email from my 97 year old grandfather. The opening line was "Golly gee, it was so nice hearing from you. I would love to see you any old time."
How's that for bridging the gap? 'Golly gee' in an email sans sarcasm.
I sure am going to miss him when he's gone gosh darn it.

lappy

My laptop is broken.
It will not turn on.
This does not make for easy blogging.

Pretty soon, if it does not decide to function, it will look like this:

Does anyone have a lil lappy they would like to donate to the cause?
